Wow.. points for creativity..
I thought I understood it perfectly, but it got increasingly more bewildering. My initial thoughts were that he was floating, but then I realized time was running in reverse, so he actually was falling into the ground.
Then I thought he had fallen from something high up.. like a plane or the space shuttle, but then it became evident that he had first flown up into space before falling again somewhere else.
Then the end revealed what caused him to be thrown into space. Apparently this was a metaphor of his world being "upside down" with gravity pulling him the opposite direction of everyone else. So basically, from what I gathered, he "fell" upward, before falling on the opposite hemisphere of the earth. This is probably meant as some deep message.. but I couldn't tell you what.
Either way, it was masterfully animated and a clever concept. Too bad the meaning wasn't more clear.
